SISTER MUSEUS COMING HOME

Hen Ke Ai De Jiating (Very Adorable Family).....

That has been my favorite greeting Sister Lauren Museus, my niece, has made during my blogging all of these letters home. I've enjoyed reading her emails each week - I feel more apart of the Museus family than I ever have. I will very much miss receiving her updates each week. It has made me realize how important not just the Lord's that Lauren has accomplished but the sense of FAMILY....she has so much love and adoration for her Mother Jan, my brother Jon and her new found father Jon.

Lauren, WELCOME HOME soon.........

TO EVERYONE: We will keep you posted on the date and time she will arrive!

Love to you all.

Sister Lauren Museus, April 26, 2010

Here are a few lines from a letter I received from Lauren this week....
"the language is coming along but it is still very difficult. I gave the first lesson all in Chinese, it was pretty intense. This week we're working on how to say more personable questions, personal experiences and analogies in our lesson. It's pretty easy to do in English but Mandarin is a completely different story. I recently got called as the new coordinating Sister - I have to watch over the 3 new sisters coming in this week...."
I had asked what the MTC was like...she responded, "you have personal and companionship in the morning at 7-9am. My companion and I get up at 5:30am so we can go to the aerobics class and afterwards there is a missionary directed time - we go see a tutor or a workshop on door knocking, contacting and committing people to baptism. Each day we have gym for an hour. Saturdays is when we give our Chinese lesson and are evaluated by our teachers. Mondays are our preparation days where we write letters, email, go to the temple and do our laundry for the week. Sunday's are full of meetings and firesides. On Tuesday nights we have a devotional where one of the 70's or an Apostle speaks to us and Sunday's we can also watch a church movie before we go to bed at 10:30pm.....
Please tell my family you are starting a blog..."

And so the Missionary Experience Begins....stay tuned each week.
